Here's whats trending in weddings and other events..social media. Are you into instragram? Or Twitter? Invite your guests to join the fun by sharing their pics during your event by posting or tweeting them via a predetermined hashtag (#). Set up a small plaque or decorative reminder of some type so guests know that you encourage it and how they can participate. If it's a wedding and you're really into it, consider adding some verbiage to your invitation. Fair warning, though - ask and you shall receive - be prepared for the potential unflattering photo or two. But hey, if it's all family, it's probably OK and a great way for folks to share your event and to capture unique perspectives from your guests.
One of the most important things that help make your event a success is the choice of color. Some people don't really have a preference or may be of the opinion that color doesn't really matter. I'm here to tell you it does! It's one of the details that, given a little forethought and planning, can really make your event shine. Table linens, floral arrangements, lighting, printed materials (invitations, save the date items, programs, etc.), dress and shoes, should all coordinate or complement each other.

We're seeing lots of creative uses for 'wedding cake pops' lately. They are fun, have application for all kinds of events/situations, and they are easy to eat! Here's a couple of neat ideas including one I used during last Summer as part of an outdoor Baby Shower. Like what you see? Let me know - I have tons of ideas for these clever little items and a fantastic local baker who specializes in creating and decorating them affordably!
-Carol What a busy time of year! Gearing up for the Spring and Summer wedding season. I attended several Bridal Expos recently and have partnered with some fantastic caterers, top-notch florists, and other specialty services.
We worked with two young ladies last week to help them with their initial wedding planning - it's so fun to see the excitement and giddiness in their faces! Both are working hard preparing their idea boards and I can't wait to see what they come up with and, more importantly, bring their ideas to fruition! |
